About me:

myFace

I'm a PhD student at Orange Labs and Supelec in Rennes, France since October 2007.

On this page you will find a few illustrations of my work on Facial Animation of Virtual Characters. I am also interested in Signal processing, Image and Video Processing and Compression, and Machine Learning.

Analysis_and_Imitation

The Mimic Game: Real-time Analysis and Imitation of Emotional Facial Expressions!

Yes it works! I have developed a system that analyses the facial expression and the head orientation of a subject in real-time. The expressions and the head pose are then autonomously reproduced by a virtual character (the avatar uses its own motion system). It is NOT cloning, it is real mimicry.
I will present it in a talk at SIGGRAPH 2010.

Online_Analysis

Want to know what your face expresses?

The expressions are captured on a human face using a webcam and projected in nonlinear fashion on a high-level representation of human emotions. Usable, valuable information can thus be extracted from low-level facial deformations

Online_Retargeting

You can download a video showing a real-time cloning of emotional facial expressions.

The expressions are captured on a human face using a webcam and automatically cloned on the face of an avatar.
Find out more on my research page.

Disk_3DFace_control

I have developped a system that creates a simple and intuitive control interface to manipulate facial expressions on virtual characters.

The interface is automatically generated from the analysis of real human facial expressions.
